Procedure

1. First, if you already have carpets on your stairs, remove the straps and the old padding. Clean the stairs using either a broom or a vacuum cleaner as to remove all the dirt and dust. Make sure that all the nails and staples are removed.
2. Apply the strip to the stairs and tighten it using the knee kicker. This tool is very useful when installing carpets on the stairs or on small areas. Either you can buy this device or you can rent it.
3. Now lay the carpet on the strips gently and compress the pins. Use the knife to trim the carpet. Repeat it until the carpet gets a prefect and correct shape. At the end, do not forget to staple the edges. Finally, you are done with your stair carpet.
